Devoted to Shani Dev, the god of justice and karma, these mantras provide protection and act as a shield against the doshas and adverse planetary effects associated with the movement of Lord Shani.
These mantras carry a distinct vibrational power that awakens the inner self and guides the devotee toward discipline, endurance, and alignment with the energy of Lord Shanaischara. Shani Mantras help one to attain the accomplishment of all tasks and fulfilment of all desires.
There are several variants of Shani Gayatri Mantras; each for a distinct epithet of Shani dev, such as Mandagraha, Chayaputra, and Suryapurtra, to meditate upon for the grace.
Shani Gayatri Mantra – Kakadhvajaya Vidmahe
ॐ काकध्वजाय विद्महे
खड्गहस्ताय धीमहि
तन्नो मन्दः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Oṁ Kākadhvajāya Vidmahe
Khaḍgahastāya Dhīmahi
Tanno Mandaḥ Pracodayāt ॥
Om. We meditate on the one who has the symbol of a crow in his banner. We contemplate the one holding a sword in his hands. May that slow-moving lord (lord Shani or Manda) illuminate our intellect.
Shani Gayatri Mantra – Om Shanaischaraya Vidmahe Mantra
ॐ शनैश्चराय विद्महे
सूर्यपुत्राय धीमहि
तन्नो मन्दः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Oṁ Śanaiścarāya Vidmahe
Sūryaputrāya Dhīmahi
Tanno Mandaḥ Pracodayāt ॥
We meditate upon Lord Shanaischara, the son of Lord Surya. May that slow-moving Lord Manda illuminate our intellect.

नीलदेहाय धीमहि
तन्नः शनिः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Oṁ Śanaiścarāya Vidmahe
Nīladehāya Dhīmahi
Tannaḥ Śaniḥ Pracodayāt ॥
We meditate on Lord Sanaischara, and we contemplate on that lord whose body is with a blue complexion. May that Lord Shani illuminate our intellect.

छायापुत्राय धीमहि
तन्नो मन्दः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Oṁ Śanaiścarāya Vidmahe
Chāyāputrāya Dhīmahi
Tanno Mandaḥ Pracodayāt ॥
Om. We meditate on Lord Shanaischara, the son of Devi Chhaya. May that Lord Manda (the slow-moving one) illuminate our intellect.
ॐ रविसुताय विद्महे
मन्दग्रहाय धीमहि
तन्नः शनिः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Oṁ Ravisutāya Vidmahe
Mandagrahāya Dhīmahi
Tannaḥ Śaniḥ Pracodayāt ॥
O, the son of Lord Ravi, we meditate on you. O, the slow-moving planet (indicating slow planetary movement as per astrology), we contemplate. May the Lord Shani illuminate our intellect.
Japa Sankhya
As per the Mantra Shastras, chanting 2,50,000 (0.25 million) repetitions of Shani Gayatri mantras grants Sarva Karya siddhi (fulfilment of all wishes). For complete mastery (Purna mantra siddhi), the count is 25 lakhs (2.5 million) repetitions.
