10 Powerful Lakshmi Mantras for Wealth and Prosperity

Since ancient times, Lakshmi Mantras have served as a spiritual tool to worship Goddess Lakshmi, the bestower of wealth and the divine consort of Lord Vishnu.

Chanting these powerful mantras is one of the effective ways to seek the grace of Devi Lakshmi for financial stability, removing debts, inviting prosperity and abundant wealth.

There are several Lakshmi Mantras, each serving a specific purpose. Some mantras invoke Goddess Lakshmi in her universal form to bring fortune, success, and prosperity. Others are dedicated to her individual forms, such as Siddha Lakshmi mantras for attaining siddhi, ashtalakshmi mantras for the eight distinct sources of prosperity, and so on.

Others, such as the Lakshmi Moola Mantra, Lakshmi Bija Mantra, or Slokas, can also be chanted alongside these mantras.

Benefits of Lakshmi Mantras

Chanting these sacred Lakshmi mantras with devotion removes poverty, invites fortune, stabilises and grows existing wealth.

These mantras bring prosperity in various ways, like knowledge, courage, authority, money, agriculture, victory, spirituality, and progeny.

Meditating using these mantras helps the practitioner to connect with the energy of Goddess Lakshmi, bringing peace and stability into life.

Regular chanting can even transform the negative circumstances in favour of the practitioner.

How Many Times to Chant

Many Mahalakshmi mantras originate from Vedic, Puranic, and traditional spiritual texts and are widely practised in mantra sadhana. When it comes to attaining mantra siddhi, the required number of repetitions (japa sankhya) differs significantly and requires specific rules and procedures to be followed, preferably under the guidance of an eligible Guru.

The prescribed count for the Lakshmi mantra for prosperity, siddha sabara, and siddha lakshmi is 4 lakh (0.4 million) repetitions, or alternatively, 1008 daily repetitions continued until the desired results are achieved. The Lakshmi Gayatri mantra traditionally requires a much higher count of 24 lakh (2.4 million) repetitions. For Ashta Lakshmi mantras, the japa count is 1 lakh (0.1 million).

For most other Lakshmi mantras, japa sankhya is 1.25 lakh (125,000) repetitions, or consistent daily chanting of 1008 times, until the intention becomes fruitful.

During puja, for daily worship, one can chant the mantras 16 or 108 times.

When to Chant these Mantras

Although these mantras can be chanted at any time, certain times are highly conducive to mantra practice. Brahma muhurtha and evening time after Pradosha kalam are auspicious for the worship of Goddess Lakshmi.

One can also chant these mantras on special occasions associated with Goddess Lakshmi or Lord Kubera, but sincere daily practice is preferable to occasional worship.
