8 Powerful Tara Mantras in Sanskrit and English with Meaning

The Sacred Tara Mantras invoke the divine energy of Goddess Tara, one among the Mahavidyas and a saviour goddess who liberates from fear, ignorance, and suffering.

Worship of Goddess Tara is present in both Hinduism and Buddhism and is also profound in Tantric practices.

Chanting these Mantras repeatedly invokes Tara maa’s fierce yet compassionate power to grant the practitioner’s wishes and the siddhis.

Most of the Tara Mantras are powerful combinations of seed syllables or Bijaksharas that provide protection, bring prosperity, and awaken the inner self of the practitioner.

Worshipping Goddess Tara with these Mantras or Tara Shlokas makes the devotee victorious in their field, court works, controversies, and against enemies.

Note: Strim is also used instead of Trim Bija as a Vadhubija (bride-like bija) due to a small story linked to the sage Vasistha, mentioned in very limited scriptures such as the Tararnava and Ekavirakalpa. However, several practitioners and scriptures differed with this change.
