Although these mantras can be chanted at any time, certain times are considered most potent for spiritual practices. The best times for chanting Rama Mantras are Brahma muhurtha, early in the morning after sunrise, noon, and after sunset.
How Many Times to chant?
The number of repetitions depends on the Mantra and the purpose for which you are using it, like for Sadhana or for general worship.
For general worship during daily puja or before beginning any major task, the recommended counts are 16, 27, and 108.
Whereas for Mantra Sadhana, specific repetition counts are prescribed, the Taraka Mantra and Mala Mantra need 1 lakh repetitions.
Rama Gayatri needs 26 lakh times, mantras for daily worship for 7 lakh repetitions, 10 lakh repetitions for dasakshara mantra, Sri Rama Jaya Rama mantra siddhi requires Japa for 15 lakh times, Sita Rama mantra for 5 lakh repetitions, and other mantras 12 lakh repetitions for mantra siddhi.
