Haridra Ganapati Mantra

Meaning: Om, O the Lord Haridra Ganapati (turmeric coloured Ganesha), the embodiment of the power of Bijas Hum that represents protection, the Bija of Ganesha Gam, and the Bija of Stability and fulfilment Glaum. O the bestower of boons like a flowing water, may the heart (inner consciousness) of all the beings get stabilised and softened (to come under control). Please accept my offerings.

Requirements for Japa or Sadhana

For Mantra Siddhi, devotees or Practitioners need to recite the Viniyoga, do the Nyasa and Dhyana and perform the required Vidish before starting the Japa.

During repetitions, the procedure is not entirely required; just reciting the Mantra is enough.

If you want to worship Haridra Ganapati generally, you can recite it during your Puja time or chant it sitting in a sanctified area.

However, for Sadana or Mantra siddhi. The practitioner must perform the Adanga Puja and Matruka Puja.

Take the raw turmeric and pound it into powder, and make it into a Ganapati form. Sometimes, moisture may not be enough to hold the created form. So, use jaggery liquid slightly if required.

One can even worship the Turmeric bulb itself, thinking of it as Ganesha. Worship it by doing all the upacharas.

Start doing Japa, complete it in a prescribed time, like 40 days, a Mandala time.

Once completing the Japa, perform the Homa and give Havana. Later, follow the Tarapana, Marjana and other necessary procedures.

Japa Sankhya

Japa Sankhya for Haridra Ganapati Mantra is 4,00,000 times or 1,25,000 times, which needs to be completed in 40 Days. Mantra Shastras also suggest daily recitation of these Mantras for 1008 times till the practitioner’s wishes get fulfilled.
